Casagrande Single Wall Casings

on Thursday, 01 June 2017.

Casagrande casings are made with high quality steel specially designed for heavy duty applications; they are used to sustain piled columns in unstable ground conditions.

For quick application, the connections between sections are made up of a male joint and a female joint, so they slot together creating strong secure connection. The first section of casing, known as the ‘terminal section’ or ‘lead cutter’ is equipped with cutting rings with widia inserts.

The two types of single casing joint made by Casagrande are:

Conical Screw

Used with casing oscillators and rotary systems

Outer Diameter Size Range: 600mm to 2500mm
Joint Thickness Range: 40mm to 70mm
Locking System: conical thread screw with central key

Labyrinth Screw

Used with a casing driver with a half joint which is attached to the rotary table of the base of the rig, or used with the casing twister to help coupling operations of sections when used with a casing oscillator.

Locking System: male coupling torsion sectors lock into the female couplings recesses
