Like the majority of 2020, this year has also been a bit of a roller coaster for us all. Despite the challenges faced by the pandemic, we have remained positive and continued to work hard to provide our clients with the piling equipment, drilling machinery, workshop services, and specialist advice required.
Before we close the door on 2021, we’re taking a quick look back at some of the great achievements that Piling Equipment Ltd have accomplished this year. We’d also like to thank all our wonderful clients for their continued custom and support. Roll on 2022!
Over the course of this year, our sales team have sold a variety of new and refurbished piling machinery, foundation equipment, and drilling consumables to customers situated all around the world. Since the beginning of the year, we have completed multiple shipments to countries spanning across six continents. Despite the difficulties we have undoubtably all experienced this year, 2021 has been our most successful fiscal year to date, with sales of piling rigs and equipment up 20% compared to the same time period last year. We are proud to be an internationally renowned company with an ever-expanding, extremely loyal client base. We can’t wait to see what the new year will bring!
Since the beginning of the year our hire team have been extremely busy conducting a record number of both national and international rentals. We’re proud to have a modern, diverse, and well-maintained hire fleet. From CFA and rotary rigs to mini machines and drop hammers, we have an assortment of drilling rigs and foundation equipment suitable for a variety of job sites and projects. Our rental options are flexible and accommodating, plus all our machines are fully serviced and fuelled prior to their arrival on site, ensuring work can commence as soon as possible.
We can’t wait to see what 2022 will bring! All services, including plant hire, will recommence on January 4th.
Throughout the year our workshop team have continued to work extremely hard, undertaking a number of special projects, equipment overhauls, rig repairs, and conducting the regular maintenance of all the machines on our hire fleet. This year our team have designed and manufactured a selection of new rigs and equipment on behalf of clients, including our first micro piling rig the Cobra T1000 and a range of custom-made masts and mast extensions. From resprays and equipment fabrication, to auger extensions and gate inserts, our team consistently deliver and strive to offer a wide variety of services to meet the extensive requirements of the piling community.
This year, we have also been working on expanding our Cobra T-series range by introducing a brand new, fully remote-controlled rig, the T12000 SP. In order to remain ahead of the curve and deliver a dynamic product into the piling market, the decision was made to launch a state-of-the-art self-propelling mini rig. The T12000 SP will feature a range of practical attributes such as a side shift and side tilt mast, expandable rubber tracks, and a tier five onboard engine. This rig is currently in the preliminary manufacturing stage, ready for completion next year.
This year we have been featured in a number of high-profile magazines, including Piling Canada, Worldwide Drilling Resource, and GeoDrilling. We’re looking forward to being able to release an assortment of exciting new products next year, which we look forward to showcasing both online and in-person.
Speaking of ‘in-person’, we were thrilled to be able to hold our first in-person event for the first time in two years! Earlier this year we held our summer exposition, welcoming clients to our HQ to view a selection of piling rigs and equipment, watch a number of rig demonstrations, and be able to chat to our team. The event proved popular and hugely successful, with deposits taken on five machines. We can’t wait to start planning next summer’s expo!
